We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Group Head of Internal Audit to lead our Internal Audit function and provide independent assurance and insight to the Audit & Risk Committee, Executive Leadership Team and management across the Group. This role reports to the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and administratively to the CEO, reflecting the importance and independence of the function.

This is an opportunity to shape and influence governance, risk management and control effectiveness across a dynamic ASX-listed organisation with operations spanning Australia and Europe.

About the Role

As Group Head of Internal Audit, you will lead the development and execution of Collins Foods' risk-based internal audit program, providing assurance over financial, operational, compliance, technology and safety-related risks across the business.

You will partner closely with the Board, Audit & Risk Committee, Executive Team and senior leaders to identify emerging risks, strengthen controls and drive continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and delivering the Group's risk-based Internal Audit Plan.
• Leading and overseeing internal audit reviews across operational, financial, safety, compliance and technology environments.
• Building trusted relationships with senior executives and business leaders.
• Presenting audit findings and recommendations to Executive Leadership and the Audit & Risk Committee.
• Evaluating governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Leveraging data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness and identify emerging risks.
• Monitoring remediation activities and driving sustainable control improvements.
• Leading special investigations and assurance projects as required.
• Supporting Collins Foods through business transformation, growth initiatives and organisational change activities. 

About You

You are a highly credible internal audit leader who combines strong technical capability with commercial judgement and the confidence to constructively challenge and influence at executive and board level.

You will bring:

• 10+ years' experience in internal audit, external audit, risk or assurance roles.
• Experience within large, complex or listed organisations, ideally complemented by Big 4 experience.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with Boards, Audit Committees, Executives, regulators and external auditors.
• Exposure to operational, financial, compliance and technology auditing.
• Strong analytical capability, including experience using data-driven insights to assess risk and controls.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional qualifications such as CA or CIA.
