About the Role
As a casual Finance Officer you will work between 15/25 hours per week across 2/3 days, you will sit within our Financial Accounting team in a core transactional and processing role, working with large sets of data. Reporting to the Finance Supervisor you will work alongside a team who oversee the Management and Financial Accounting functions of our large retail operations.
What you will be doing
You will play a key role in ensuring our core monthly accounting functions are completed on-time and accurately
- Reconciling high volume weekly store POS cash/EFT transactions for multiple stores, liaising with Restaurants and Managers where necessary
- Assisting in the review of periodic stock counts to ensure integrity
- Staff and store reimbursement processing & review
- Preparation of allocated weekly/monthly journals
- Providing cover / support to other members of the team
- Various ad hoc tasks supporting the end of month processing
What you’ll bring
- Availability to work Monday & Friday at a minimum
- No experience is needed, training on the job provided
- Advanced MS Office skills, predominantly within Excel
- Ability to use initiative and add value to greater Finance team
- Ability to demonstrate strong reliability, organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
- Ability to take ownership of work and contribute to a positive team environment
- Ability to work with large sets of data
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high levels of accuracy
- Professional communication (written and verbal) and people skills
- Strong time management and ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
