About the Role

As a member of the HR Leadership Team, the Head of People Services provides strategic leadership and accountability for Talent Acquisition, Reward & Benefits, People Systems, and People Experience across the full employee lifecycle.

Working in close partnership with the Group Chief People & Culture Officer, this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining people strategies that enable organisational performance, talent attraction and retention, and scalable growth across all CFL brands.

The Head of People Services also leads the program management of the People & Culture Strategy, Annual Operating Plan, and HR Calendar, ensuring disciplined execution, high‑quality Board and Executive Committee reporting, and effective oversight of the HR budget.

Key Responsibilities

People Strategy & Leadership

    • Drive enterprise‑wide people strategies across the full employee lifecycle.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to the Group CPCO, Executive Committee, and Board.
    • Lead and develop the People Services function to meet current and future business needs.

Reward, Performance & Experience

    • Oversee Total Rewards strategy, remuneration programs, and performance frameworks.
    • Ensure reward, recognition, and employee experience programs are fair, consistent, and aligned to business goals.
    • Use data and technology to continuously improve key people processes.

Talent Acquisition & Capability

    • Lead talent acquisition strategy and ensure scalable, effective hiring across the business.
    • Partner with leaders and act as the HR Business Partner to the Restaurant Support Centre to build workforce capability and talent development.

Systems, Data & Governance

    • Shape the HR systems roadmap in partnership with IT to support organisational growth.
    • Deliver people insights and key metrics to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
    • Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management across all people processes.

Program Management & Delivery

    • Lead the delivery of the People & Culture Strategy, Annual Operating Plan, and HR Calendar.
    • Prepare high‑quality Board and Executive reporting and oversee the HR budget.
    • Champion continuous improvement and best‑practice across People Services.

Employee Relations & Collaboration

    • Partner with the Head of IR & Compliance to shape ER strategy and frameworks.
    • Build strong cross‑functional relationships and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 About You

    • 7–10+ years’ senior HR leadership experience in large, complex or multinational/ASX‑listed environments.
    • Strong understanding of HR’s strategic value, with the ability to communicate people and compliance priorities to senior stakeholders.
    • Proven leadership, influencing, and commercial acumen.
    • Deep knowledge of HR best practice, industrial instruments, and employment legislation.
    • Experience coaching leaders and shaping collaborative, values‑driven cultures.
    • Expertise in Reward frameworks, including STI/LTI and employee share schemes.
    • Experience preparing Board‑level papers, strategies, and recommendations.
    • Strong stakeholder partnership skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver quality outcomes.
