Following an internal promotion, we’re excited to open an Area Coach opportunity to lead a well-established group of KFC restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. About the Role

Reporting directly to the Market Manager, you will be responsible for providing coaching, leadership, and operational support to and Area of KFC Restaurants across the Sunshine Coast.

Key duties of the role include but are not limited to

  • Lead change and provide strategic direction for your Area to deliver and achieve operational goals
  • Lead and/or lead/coach RGM and management team through incident investigation (people, customer and food safety)
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient operation of restaurants
  • Demonstrate leadership, including coaching of RGM/management team in promoting and actively instilling in all people and restaurants, the highest possible standard of psychological and physical health and safety practices (including return to work)
  • Coach RGM and management teams to be able to inspire and develop their teams to maximise store capability and develop optimal bench and succession planning
  • Proactively manage people processes (including employee grievances) in line with current HR policies, practices and processes
  • Recognise and reward outstanding performance and success and promote a positive team environment
  • Lead and facilitate monthly POP business reviews to identify coaching opportunities to align business objectives with in-store actions to deliver results
  • Implement and execute the Brand Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to deliver results
  • Identify improvements and potential innovations to continually develop fit for purpose initiatives within the franchise system to maximise KPIs
  • Coach, support and guide team with implementing and following established processes to ensure a consistent customer experience
  • Manage Level 2 and above customer complaints, including reporting of significant incidents, to maximise effective outcomes
  • Be a role model in demonstrating desired workplace behaviours which align to a great customer experience and Collins values  

About You

As the Area Coach, you will bring to the role the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Completion of all Restaurant Management Curriculum including Leading Multiple Restaurants (LMR) highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in delivering performance and growth as an Area Coach or a minimum three (3) years RGM experience (essential) and experience undertaking AC relief or a successful AC secondment
  • Advanced KFC operations knowledge and a proven track record of OT or above performance
  • Experience in successfully managing a range of competing priorities and/or projects and/or teams to achieve strategic and operational outcomes
  • Knowledge of and implementation to the high standard relevant workplace legislation
  • Developing mutually respectful and effective relationships with key internal and external people across a range of organisational levels

  • Strong interpersonal skills including effective written and verbal communication skills
