Data Modeller

We’re Hiring: Data Modeller - Join our IT Data team be in a role that connects our technical data foundations with the business insights that drive smarter decision-making and growth across Collins Foods.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

As a Data Modeller, you’ll design, develop, and maintain high-quality analytical data models and datasets that support reporting, business analysis, and operational decision-making. You’ll work closely with IT Data Engineering and Business Reporting teams to ensure data is accurate, secure, and reusable across the organisation

Data Modelling & Design

• Work with business reporting teams to understand data and reporting needs.
• Design dimensional and semantic data models (star/snowflake) for Power BI and SSRS.
• Translate complex business measures into standardised, reliable calculations.

Development & Delivery

• Build and maintain Power BI datasets and models that meet architecture and performance standards.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure smooth integration with Azure Synapse pipelines and transformations.
• Manage testing, deployment, and refresh schedules to keep data reliable and up to date.

Data Quality, Security & Governance

• Monitor dataset accuracy, timeliness, and overall quality.
• Apply the right data security and compliance controls.
• Maintain metadata, lineage, and business glossaries for enterprise governance.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with business teams to manage dataset requests and enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to optimise models and improve automation.
• Help shape data modelling standards, templates, and best practices.

Who You Are:

Are you a recent or soon-to-be university graduate with a keen interest in business engagement and developing your Power BI and dataset skills? You’re an analytical thinker with a passion for data and a drive to deliver well-structured, reliable solutions. You thrive on collaboration, value accuracy, and are committed to continuous Improvement, and you will be motivated to help others make confident, data-driven decisions.

You also bring:

• Strong understanding of data modelling principles and experience with Microsoft data and analytics tools.
• Confidence working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Focus on data quality, governance, and performance optimisation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
