About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented legal professional with a passion for property and development? Collins Foods Limited is seeking a skilled Legal Administrator – Property to manage all property, development, and construction-related legal matters and documentation across our leased and freehold sites. This is a pivotal role ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in all legal processes related to our growing property portfolio. 

You will take ownership of the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing legal instructions to our external legal team on Agreements for Lease, Leases, Renewals, Deeds of Variation, Contracts and Easements
  • Managing all property related legal matters with our external legal team
  • Conducting lease document reviews and negotiations to ensure contracts and documentation align with CFL company policy
  • Preparing Property Summaries and facilitating execution of all property, development and construction related legal documentation
  • Preparing and reviewing Building Contracts and providing advice to Construction Team
  • Providing advice on interpretation of lease clauses to the Property Management team, construction team and other relevant stakeholders
  • Reviewing and advising on make good obligations
  • Maintaining safe custody for all original property documents
  • Maintaining lease information on the Lease Eagle database and referencing critical clauses
  • Reviewing resumption requirements and submitting relevant compensation claim arrangements
  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and distributing documents where necessary
  • Coordinating with and providing legal documentation to the Franchise Administrator
  •  Maintaining legal filing in both paper and electronic format.
  • Taking minutes of Real Estate Committee meetings and approvals
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks as required

About you

  • Minimum 2 Years experience as Legal Secretary specialising in Property Sector or as a Leasing Paralegal,
  • Previous experience working with Franchise Agreements (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in legal drafting and understanding of Easements (advantageous)
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
