Test and Quality Strategy and Planning:

  • Define and document the overall Test Strategy, including separate parallel strategies where required (e.g., HR, payroll, integrations), and establish clear entry and exit criteria for each test stage, defining go/no-go decision points.
  • Develop a resource plan to support test execution, working with the project manager, and define expected results and success criteria for all testing activities.

  • Ensure consistent management and version control of test documentation
  • Establish and manage the defect logging, triage, prioritisation, and resolution, and facilitate regular defect review meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality gates are established and met before progressing between stages, and implement consistent reporting frameworks to communicate test progress, risks, and results.
  • Provide regular status updates and dashboards to the Project Manager and Steering Committee, and support audit and compliance requirements by ensuring test evidence is captured and maintained appropriately.
  • Support the Change and Training teams by validating that test outputs meet business readiness requirements.

Data Migration:

  • Ensure data migration and payroll results are thoroughly validated during testing phases, and coordinate data validation cycles, including data readiness, deployment, and post-load verification.
  • Work with the Data Lead to track, prioritise, and resolve data-related defects and issues.

Project Management:

  • Support the development and execution of project plans, timelines, and deliverables, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Track and communicate test progress, risks, and outcomes to the Project Manager and Steering Committee, and provide regular test stage status reports and dashboards.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define testing requirements, report progress, and address risks or concerns, and engage with business owners and SMEs to ensure alignment on test planning and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to testing and quality practices.
