About the Role

Reporting into the KFC Australia Planning Manager, the KFC Australia finance analyst primary purpose is to provide financial analysis to support the Planning Manager.  The role will involve liaising closely with the KFC Australia team to determine key business needs, and conducting analysis and providing recommendations to support business decision making.

As the Finance, you will take ownership of the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Ownership of standard management reporting suite (e.g Daily& weekly sales reports and monthly management reports) providing insights to the Planning Manager and Brand.
  • Support the Planning Manager in preparation of periodic internal management and Board reports including end of year reports.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing reports using Power BI.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
  • Support with preparation of Budget and forecasting activities.
  • Continuous improvement of the quality, content and timeliness of reporting
  • Undertake detailed scenario modelling, using a range of different assumptions to support recommendations.
  • Undertake financial and operational forecasting, identifying opportunities for business improvements.
  • Ensuring complex information is presented in an uncomplicated, simple and insightful way.
  • Conceptualising, developing and presenting information to Planning Manager with clear recommendations for business improvements.
  • Addressing queries and modelling based on previous experiences.
  • Ability to test assumptions, prove theories and provide opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

About You

As the Finance Analyst you will bring to the role the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience in Management Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting and Financial Analysis experience.
  • Experience in complex business, Retail/FMCG/QSR experience will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with complex modelling.
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and critical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to extract relevant trend information from multiple data sources.
  • Advanced Excel including using PowerQuery and PowerPivot desirable.
  • Skilled in using Power BI for data visualisation and analysis.
