About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Team.  As a dynamic part of our Payroll team, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Payroll Officers, Payroll Supervisor and Payroll Manager with weekly payroll functions such as payroll processing, exception reporting and providing support to stores as required.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Support the processing of the weekly payroll cycle (17,500+ employees)
  • Action weekly exception reporting
  • Identify timesheet errors and assist stores with corrections
  • Lifelenz (‘Time & Attendance system’) processing, including the export of times worked into the payroll system
  • Public Holiday processing
  • Processing of Team Member payroll transactions including leave processing, termination payments, new employees, timecard and award interpretation, deduction and allowance processing, staff transfers and position changes
  • Customer Service tasks such as emails and answering the payroll telephone hotline
  • End of month and end of period processing as required

About You

If you are passionate about supporting our restaurants, and learning more about what happens behind the scenes to get our 17,500 employees paid each week, then we would love to have a chat with you.  As the Payroll Officer you will bring to the role the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Experience with Preceda preferred
  • Experience in a similar level payroll or admin-focused role
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Basic knowledge of payroll-related legislation (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of industrial instruments and Fair Work requirements (preferred)
